Font Ideas

These are  a few examples of fonts i may include within my film magazine and poster. Having a choice of fonts will allow me to experiment and get feedback from my audience to see which  design they prefer. My main idea i was going for is a font which relates to blood written on a wall, i believe this will give a horror chill to my poster - this will also inform my audience which genre my film is showing. My top 3 fonts within the collection is 5th 8th and 10th these three fonts resemble my main idea due to it portraying dripping blood and horror chill.

Poster Ideas

These are my poster ideas which i am thinking of creating, my personal favourite is the bottom one due to it being simple, straight to the point and fitting under the correct conventions of a horror genre. I have used an eye as my main image due to it being convenient with the film title ' I Can See You '. I would then place an image of the victim within the eye, to make it look realistic that the character is being watched.

Logos and Intertitles

This was the inter logo i created as part of my trailer and marketing campaign. I found that it was easy and simple to create and it looks rather effective, and almost realistic compared to professional inter logos. I used "Ghostwood Development Project" as my inspiration for my layout. I think using this inter title will add a more professional image and approach to my trailer.

This is a black card which i created for my film, to certify that it can be watched for my target audience which as seen from the card itself is for 15 years and above. The same as the logo i created, having this to start my trailer off, first of all allows permission to my audience however its also creates the professional standard i wanted.

Flat Plans - Magazine Cover and Poster

Call Sheets

My main character within my trailer is based on a 20 year old student who has recently just moved into a new house after recently getting into a new University.  I have chosen a brunette character to go with the dull and grim theme of the horror movie. She is an ordinary girl who dresses with the up to date styles. I have chosen this particular character to be seen as a "ordinary, natural girl" due to it emphasizing more on a real life event, having a gothic stereotype would make it more obvious and unrealistic.
I was unfortunate to only find one character for my trailer - this was a down fall to my trailer, i should of took into consideration finding a more experienced and larger cast to add more exciting and scary plots into my trailer. Nevertheless, i used the same girl twice, however just dressed her in two different outfits to show two various characters which are involved within the trailer.

Location

I have chosen a family household as my main location for my trailer due to it being an inspiration from my previous research of horror films ie; Paranormal Activity. Having a home as my main location fits well into my main idea of fears due to it being based on wanting to feel safe in your own home nevertheless, the narrative I have created is implying that not everyone is safe within their own home. This is a common fear of humans due to their own shelter being a safety area compared to other locations or places.
Whilst filming i have used various rooms such as; The main living are, dinning room, bedroom, kitchen, stairwell, bathroom and garden. I thought using a rang of rooms would make the trailer more exciting and intriguing due to only seeing 2 minuets of the film. Each room shows that there will be different stories to tell and questions to asked therefore this is the reason i included numerous of location within the household to not make it simple and boring but to however create more of a fear due to unknown occurrences happening in more than one room.
Bedroom

                                                                          Stairwell

                                                                  Porch Way/Front Door

                                                                         Front Room

                                                                        Dining Area

                                                                          Kitchen

                                                                        Garden

Health and Safety-
I filled out these evaluations to make clear of my hazards when shooting my trailer. Due to my location my hazards weren't drastic to cause much trouble, nevertheless was a useful way to highlight the smallest trip ups which could be possible.

Questionnaire

I created this questionnaire as just another media format to help show my statistics for how my target audience prefer to watch there horror films. This method seemed to be a simple and efficient way of getting people to tell me blunt answers to help improve on my trailer.

Costume and Props

Costumes
Spirit: I used an old hospital ward cloak as my spiritual characters form of dress, this was due to it fitting well into the horror criteria and the whole illusion of a corpses spirit haunting the main victim within the movie. The colour of the cloak is white, this is a huge contrast to my characters outlook of being dark, deadly, evil etc. The white cloak emphasises there was once innocence within the spirit and the this enforces the questioning the audience will do whilst watching the movie.

Victim: For my victim i thought allowing to be dressed in her casual jogger clothes would be appropriate due to it emphasising that even in your own home and comfort your not safe, this would add more of a fear twist to my trailer. I dressed her in a baggy jersey top and leggings to show that she should be settled and comfortable having her tea, in bed, on the laptop etc. I believe i should of chose a better colour top than blue, due to it not being a good connotation to my horror genre.

Hair: For my spirit character i back combed her hair so it looked wild, brittle and unattractive. The main reason for this is to reinforce what she actually is, and to show to the audience she is in fact a spirit and she doesn't look after herself. There are other main priorities to sort out. Her hair also covered partly over her face, closing her identity and making the characters past more of mystery for my audience by not getting a full image of the antagonist. The Grudge was my inspiration for this look. On the other hand, i dressed my victims hair, tied back and loose up showing she's relaxed and at home. I thought this would add to her dress sense of the night making it clear she's getting disturbed in her own chill time.

Make-up: I made both of my characters make up simple and not to much in the audiences face, due to wanting to focus on the actual narrative than there make up. I chose this route due to my spirit not needing much make up due to having a large chunk of her hair over her face, if i was to change this i would of added black eye shadow round her eyes to create a more serious and deathly ill look for her. However, for my victim i used simple make up due to it being set at night time mainly and my victim was all dressed for chill/bed time. Therefore, make up wasn't a necessary big part for my characters identity.

Idea Generation

My main idea that i have based my trailer on is about a young independent woman who is getting stalked and possessed by a dark disturbed spirit which is out to seek its revenge within the household. The main storyline is based upon the spirit "Bella" already having previous problems within the past with other family members- she's wanting revenge and to take and own whats rightly hers. Nevertheless, Amy, a recent student is the new owner of the house which "Bella" lives and its soon noticed that Amy isn't alone. Events happen throughout the trailer to show and conclude "Bella's" revenge, however does Amy have the courage and battle to fight against the disturbed spirit.
I have got my idea based on a couple of movies which i have recently researched; Paranormal Activity and The Conjuring, i believe these particular movies do give a scare due to it being based on true life stories and because of the location they are situated in.

Story Boards

Video Responses - Primary Audience Research

I have asked a member of my class to do a video response to get honest and clear opinions on ideas for my trailer and poster, this has allowed me to understand the target audiences requests within a horror film and will be able to include these within each of my medias, therefore creating a successful trailer and poster for my horror film.

Questions-

Poster
1. Do you like the video recording effect with in the Paranormal Activity poster?
2. Is the Paranormal image scary enough to use for a horror poster?
3. Do you like the blue lighting effect on the Paranorml Activity image? Does it fit the mood?
4. Does the phrase "don't watch it alone!" add any effect to you when reading? any particular emotion?
5. Does the font blend in well with the overall poster? could it be changed?

Magazine Cover
1. Do you like the layout of the magazine cover? main image over powering the title?
2. Do you think the skyline is appealing to the audience?
3. Are the sell lines something you want to see in a film magazine? persuading? interesting?
4. Is the main image to big for the magazine cover? would you change it?
5. Do you like the colour combination they have used on the main cover? or would you chose a different colour selection?

Representation Synonymous and Genre

Throughout the trailer i am producing i have decided i am wanting to portary femininty as a main focus for my narrative, due to it being a modern interpuration of new horrors in todays society - which have all been successful hits, for example in Eden Lake and The Decent each woman survives in one form or another whether its phyically or mentally. I believe taking this representation further into my story line will increase my target audience due to it being a form of independence for females and additonal pleasure for the male audience to watch. Therefore having this theme to run throughout my trailer could be useful technique for me to gain more of an audience.

This particualr horror film isnt the sub genre i was wanting to achieve nevertheless, i believe this is a good example of strong feminity and portraying the approach i am wanting to succeed. The fact the female protagonist out lives her boyfriend within the movie shows that woman in todays society have the same similar approaches to of what men can achieve whether this is also mentally or phyically. These particualr movies which portary femininty to its best allow audiences globally to see how the way in which females are seen and within this movie is shows that as females they can be seen as violent, absuive, threatning and holding weapons all as defence and not the ones that are seen in the background to be saved and rescued about their sterotypically "prince charming".

Similar to Eden Lake, this sub genre style isnt particually the style in which i was going for nevertheless, the representation of the femanine narrative helps me to think of ideas of portraying my femaninty that i will be including into my trailer. Within this trailer the female protagonist ends on surviving and gaining revenge on her friend  who had an affair with her once husband. This ange and determination shows what woman are like in todays society which is a useful inspiration for woman in the audience aswell as entertainment for all aged groups.

Primary Audience Research

Free Online Survey
http://freeonlinesurveys.com/s.asp?sid=0nifdxpw01gnzo7328623

I have asked a variety of students and family members to take a look at my online survey and help me conclude my trailer to see what i need to involve to create a successful trailer.

My first question that i asked my audience was whether the genre appealed to them or not. My results came back 60%-40% 5 people saying they enjoyed watching horrors and 4 people not to keen on the genre. This hasn't effected my choice of genre due to more people wanting to watch a horror, nevertheless, i may have to focus on making it a worthwhile horror to encourage other viewers to watch my style of horror.

My second question was concentrated on which sub genre they may prefer when watching horrors such as the examples i gave, this allows me to see whether my choice would be acceptable for my viewers. From my survey the choice i am wanting to film is the most popular - paranormal. I believe this became a sudden popular choice due to the many films such as The Conjuring, Insideous 2 and The Paranormal Activity 5 either being released or showing new teaser trailers. Therefore, i will have competition to keep an eye on and to prove that my trailer will be more successful compared to the rest of the new films. It will also let me do my own research to see what they involve within there trailers/movies and allow me to improve it in my own trailer.
My following question asked about which representation they would like to see follow through the trailer. I had the final girl theme in idea which i believe would give my trailer a modern twist due to various successful themes involving a final girl showing her power and masculinity. Nevertheless, my other representations were as equally as popular  such as overtaking youths, this was another idea i was going to focus on due to it being a good narrative to go by because of the main target audience being based on ages between 15-35 years. The other popular representation was having a stereotypical masculine and powerful man being the main focus and story behind the movie which could be easily done and used due to many horrors being based on narratives such as this, nevertheless, due to the society that we now live in various views and opinions are took into consideration this is why i was interested in using the 'last woman' as a way of showing the modern up date to my movie.

Another question i asked was based upon the soundtrach that would be best suitable for my trailer, i had an idea in mind of using quiet eerie sounds to create a abandoned atmosphere for my viewers. However, as seen from my results noone would enjoy hearing this partiular behinf my movie trailer, which has lead me to go into more music depth to see if i can create a new sound track for my trailer. The most popular sound to hear is dark due to it being a perfect link with the horror theme, nevertheless that doesnt give me a great in sight to what sounds this could be. I have decided to create a new survey just based on music so i can get the correct sound and atmosphere for my trailer which my audience will enjoy. Music and sound is important to the trailer due to it being the main way to create a build up and atmosphere. Therefore i must get this part of my process correct to create a successful trailer.
I have based one of my questions on my location which is an important aspect to take into consideration due to the the location having a large impact onto the fear. This is because when paranoramal activity was released it was based on a nuclear household where you are meant to feel safe and comfortable and many disruptions and terrifying scenes were used which creates fears for the audience beliveing that they could have a spirit based within their houses. This i belive is a clever technique to use and was a main idea for me to use however, with a twist so its not taking paranormals idea and people will see my trailer and belive its different and something new to the horror style. I was thinking of using a old fashioned house/ abondended house to focus my trailer on due to it being a stereotypical horror location which will always create an impact on audiences and from my research Family Household and Haunted House are where my viewers would like to see the movie based, which is useful due to my narrative being based round these locations.
My follwoing question is asking how my audience would like to see my poster portrayed whether its with the trailer having a link involved or as seen to be different to the trailer, adding extra details without the audince knowing. I belive i will use the stereotypical approach to the trailer and poster due to it giving consistency and a proffesional image for my viewers. Having the link will also be rememberable and easily understood to the audience, creating more of a confusion wont help and could potentionally put viewes off watching my trailer.
An important question i asked within the survey was based on the cover of my magazine and my poster due to this being a big help to promoting my trailer therefore using the correct background and props is a must due to it being  the best way of giving sneak peaks of what my trailer and movie will consist of. Thats why finidng out this questions feedback will help me come to a decion. From the statistics there are mixed views, Characters being the most popular choice however, location also being a favourite - which is what i would of like to base my cover and poster on, similar to The Conjuring nevertheless, i could look into involving both aspects to my medias i would have to take test shots to see what i could make and see whether they will blend well together.
The last question i asked within my survey was based on expectations from the viewers which is another section i believe i will need to do my reserch into due to it being the main attention throught out my trailer. I will need to focus on watching trailers to see what jumps out at me and makes me think wow and then create another survey for my audience to do so i can give them what they want to see. My most popular choice within this question however, is having random sudden movemnets involved within my trailer, this was a main choice of mine due to it being an obvious fright to most people, i think its also clever and easily placed into a trailer blending the rest of the scenes well with one another.

Secondary Audience Research

I have researched into the genre of my films, horror and found statistics of movies that relate to my ideas that i wish to use for my official trailer. I need to take in consideration the age and sex of my audience so i can allow variation throughout my trailer therefore, creating a larger based audience.

Paranormal Activity- 15
4-6 years - 0%                Male-51%
7-11 years - 0%              Female- 49%
12-14 years - 0%
15-24 years - 69%
25-34 years - 23%
35-44 years - 6%
45+ years - 2%

From the statistics above i have found out that from the ages of 4-14 years are not permitted to watching the following movie due to the certificate of the movie being a 15. Nevertheless, the most popular age range which is a main priority for me to focus upon is the ages between 15-24. This is an aim i must succeed due to it being a targeted audience for this particular genre. This is due to teenagers being a main interest into horror, who enjoy visiting the cinema in groups of friends. However, a high percentage is also of the age range 25-34 year olds which i believe is due to the film being a good social event for this age range for a good laugh and scare, also they can look at it in a more realistic manner compared to 15 years olds. The last two age groups are ranged from 35 and onwards which i knew wouldnt be a popular choice due to it being seen as immature and unrealistic, and would like to watch a genre more suited for their age and era.

Insidious: Chapter - 12A
4-6 years - 0%                 Male-46%
7-11 years - 0%               Female-54%
12-14 years - 0%
15-24 years - 69%
25-34 years - 17%
35-44 years - 9%
45+ years - 5%

From the statistics above i have seen that the most popular age range is based upon the 15-24 year gap due to it being targeted for this particular teenage culture. This is because these ages are most likely to go to a cinema and watch with a group of friends or as a couple to enjoy a successful horror. Due to the family within the story being based young i believe this is also an interaction towards the younger audience. The next following age group which would go an watch this film is 25-34 year olds, due to them understanding and putting them in a realistic day to day life. Nevertheless, same as Paranormal activity this genre isn't appealing to the older generation due to them maybe not believing the narratives? or find the context inappropriate and immature.

The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghost of Georgia
4-6 years - 0%               Male- 56%
7-11 years - 0%             Female- 44%
12-14 years - 0%
15-24 years - 56%
25-34 years - 29%
35-44 years - 4%
45+ years - 11%

As again compared to the statistics to the two previous films i have researched into they are very similar based, especially when involving the sex of the target audience, they are all quiet equal due to them being nearly 50% either side. Additionally, it is almost the same with the age range of 15-24 years, in each movie i have looked into this particualer age range has stood out the most due to it appealing more to this catagory of students, couples, film lovers, schools, and social groups. Nevertheless, with this movie in particualr thet 45+ age catagory is alot higher compared to the previous two movies i am researching. This could be due to many reasons one being down to the fact that there is already a number one edition to this particular film which could have been poular with the elder audience due to elements they may have included. Because of this i will need to look into more detail about this film so i can incorporate scenes which can attrract the elder audience into watching my trailer.

Having the oppertunity to view various successful/ yet to be successful horror films has allowed me to concentrate on which age catagory i need to focus on and which ctagaory i could look into increasing to allow a bigger audience for my trailer. My main aim is to focus on the catagorys 15-24 and 25-34 years due to this being where my profit will be easy to gain, however i would like to take a risk and add more comple and more technical language to the piece to posisbly grab more of my older audiences and prove that it isnt a typical modern horror movie.

Promotional Package

I have chosen to research into The Conjuring's marketing background to allow me to pick inspirations for my own promotional package for the trailer i am creating. I have chosen this particular film due to it being based upon the same paranormal topic which i am interested basing my trailer on.

Trailers - Throughout the process of The Conjuring being made, the producers unleashed leaks of the movie by releasing various trailers to excite and inform the audience about the movie itself allowing them to know what particular genre it is focused upon. Within these trailers producers enticed the audience by publishing the most intense and jumpy scenes to interest them in the movie. The producers have to be careful to not leak to much detail within the film nevertheless, they created various trailers due to age restrictions and being able to show appropriate scenes on family screens. Trailers are the most important and beneficial approach when promoting my trailer, they are easily accessed now we have web 2.0 to watch various videos on smart phones and up to date technologies. Having the fortunate facilities in today's society has allowed us to upload trailers across the internet world, such as; Youtube, Official Sites and many more video orientated sites. This allows the audience to find the trailers easily and quickly.

Social Network Sites - In todays society social networking sites are hitting a peak with the new web 2.0 becoming a new love in the technology industry. Social sites such as; Twitter and Facebook allow the film production and audience interact with one another on a personal level by allowing the viewers feedback and opinions and additionally having the producers leak trailers of the movie to encourage the audience to go and view the movie. On Twitter The Conjuring allows the audience to follow them to keep up to date daily with each step they are doing such as; filming days, marketing days, competitions etc. These tweets influences the audience to get in touch and keep up to date with the film and get excited for the release of the movie. As the same with Facebook, it allows the viewers to gain interaction with the producers and keep up to date and understand what is going on with the film and
promotional days. Each social networking site has thousands of likes, comments and followers which shows its a useful promotional use to the film industry, this is due to it being easy to get involved no sign ups, just a click of button to get their feed of information.

Posters - There are various posters used to promote The Conjuring before and after the release day, these posters have helped set the genre of the film due to the images and the font which have been used within the content of each poster. Nevertheless, i believe that the company didn't focus their promotional package on using posters to influence the audience due to only finding three main posters. Each poster has a scene or location as the main image to allow the viewers to understand what the genre and story could be about. The genre is obvious due to having the audience understand it is a horror - this is because this particular genre may not appeal to them therefore, would not be a good choice of film to see. Each poster is presented differently due to it being published in various places such as; long rectangular poster would be seen on bus stops and buses themselves and then square sized posters would be seen either on social networking sites or out side cinemas and billboards. The variation of posters colour and size makes the movie more interesting and intriguing towards the audience which is why producers enjoy making more than a couple of posters - nevertheless with The Conjuring not taking this approach i believe they became more successful within the Social Network sites due to the amount of followers and likes the ad achieved. Each poster tells you different parts of the story, one image is of a young girl on a old fashioned rocking chair with a old battered doll facing the audience - this suggests to the audience the doll could be an big impact to the narrative? also gives away the genre of the film due to the elements of a horror being portrayed in one simple image. Another poster is of the location in which is seen on the trailers of an old haunted house with a widow like tree with a piece of rope hanging lonely on  high branch giving the illusion that the place is dangerous and not safe? Another reason why they used this particular image is they are for-warning death to be involved? or the rope is a significant part of the story line? These questions get thought about when audiences see the posters which is why i would be using this particular route for my promotional package as well as my trailer.

Choice of Genre

I have chosen Horror as my focused genre on my trailer due to it being an exciting process to show and experience various software and programs, additionally to experiment a variety of  after affects and camera angles say compared to another genre.

Repertoire of Elements-
Good vs Evil
Vulnerability
Mystery
Supernatural
Dark Lighting
Unknown
Fears

Each of theses elements will be key within my trailer due to the particular style i will be approaching. The style i will be mainly focusing upon is paranormal, this being a personal preference due to being a believer in after life. Nevertheless, i believe this style of horror is a successful process of creating a blockbuster movie.

Inspiration-
Paranormal (1-4)
The Conjuring
Insidious

Print Analysis Reflection

After analysing Paranormal Activity and You're Next i have been giving inspiration throughout each element they used within their posters. Each element within their media helped them advertise their film in different ways, i very much liked the look of the You're Next poster due to the horror portration it gave such as; the title written in blood and the dribbling runs as an added effect. I believe this helps portray the genre alot clearer than compared to some horror films, which is needed due to the audience understanding a brief description of the film. Neverthelees, within the Paranormal Activity poster i liked how there were rhetorical questions asked to the readers and admirers, these question i believe look clever and they create a shudder of fright when reading due to thinking into depth with them. Especially, with the film being set within a family household and the question being "whats living in your house?" it makes the human mind wonder and you slowly create a fear to which there could be something in your house. I will be using this technique in my poster, due to it giving off a proffesional image aswell as being seen to be scary. When creating my poster i will make sure to take into consideration my image due to this being a large proportion of my poster, this will be my main attraction to my film trailer so getting the correct shot will increase my viewers. I have many ideas that i have in mind to use as my poster, therefore experimenting each images will needed to be done to see which is the most eye catching and attracting.

Create a survey on the prefered Poster.

Print Analysis

Trailer Analysis Reflection

Whilst researching the horror style trailers i have realized that i will need to concentrate thoroughly and effectively on various shots to create a successful and horrifying trailer. My main reason for the trailer is to outline the main plots of the narrative therefore i must think cleverly and obvious to get the perfect trailer. To gain a successful trailer i must concentrate on the important elements such as the editing and camera skills.
The Editing skills is a main priority that i will need to focus on due to getting the correct paste for the various plots  whether that will involve increasing the paste throughout the middle of the trailer to create a more intense atmosphere in the audience or creating a slow antagonising wait of suspense to unravel the various plots which i screen. Using these various speeds of viewing allows the audience to embrace the chase of excitement or get to grips with the location, genre and characters. Having these elements involved within the trailer will create a professional and smart trailer. It will also build an easy and understanding narrative for the audience to follow and get goosebumps over.
There are similar aspects to the editing skills to the camera skills when considering the paste of the trailer. This is due to the shots being identical to the paste of the trailer, i will need to consider this thoroughly so i create a continuos trailer. I will mix and match my framings to gain a unique and clever film, using long shots and panning will help me create intensifying scenes of my settings, additionally using close ups on my characters face will help interact with the audience and portray their fears and emotions clearly on screen.

Trailer Analysis

Reflection on Genre Research

As i have been doing my main research for my Horror genre i have been able to learn various codes and conventions used within the genre of film which i intend to use thoroughly and correctly to create a successful trailer. Learning these aspects have helped me understand and gain a larger knowledge of the genre which will come helpful when producing my trailer. There are many aspects to consider when producing a trailer, especially when portraying the genre of the film;

The main location of my trailer would be focused within a family household or local country fields where i can play with various shots to get creepy effects. Due to focusing on a paranormal trailer i am fortunate to film within my own/friends living space - which allows me to not worry about budget fees. I am wanting to explore my local town to use different locations which can collaborate with a typical nuclear family household so i can gain different effects when editing.
As for my characters, i am wanting to include at least 3/4 cast member with an additional pet dog due to this creating a stereotypical nuclear family - which is my main aim within producing the trailer. I dont have a secure idea if i would prefer to make a teenage sleepover plot - this potentially could become unsuccessful or not filling the horror criteria to its best which can lead to it looking unprofessional and not appealing to watch whereas if i include an older generation of characters it can portray as a more serious matter to the narrative?
When concerning my costume and props, i am fortunate to allow my characters to wear their own clothes which adds to the realism of the plot. Having their own costumes allows them to portray their own character and persona on set which helps the audience interact with them. As with props, i wont need essential needs such as; weapons and fake blood, nevertheless, i will need to use props such as young plastic toys/dolls, swing set etc. I could potentially use a main prop as a marketing aspect which could become recognizable and known for my movie - such as using a swing set for my poster, magazine cover etc.
Having a successful soundtrack is probably a main element in creating a successful horror trailer, however due to my narrative, quietness is key when wanting to scare my audience due to them not expecting the following scene after. I will use a erry sound behind to create more of an atmosphere and heighten the tension whist watching the trailer. I will include effects such as crashes and door slams due to these sounds creating more of a fright for my audience, additionally, i will include heightened sounds of usual quiet sounds such as heartbeats and breathing to create tension.

Genre Research

Marketing Research Reflection

Looking back on my previous research i have realized the importance of integrating various forms of media through the use of a unique selling propositions. If wanting a successful block buster creating an effective Marketing Campaign is a necessity and therefor i must create a unique selling proposition - this will allow my campaign to produce a sense of identity towards my target audience therefore giving the film a name for itself and becoming a recognizable interest. The reason in which creating a identity for the film will help increase profit opportunities is due to viewers linking various media advertising throughout their towns and cities and knowing instantly which film is being released.

To a achieve the brand identity i wish to succeed i will be using the color scheme, logo and minor aspects of the main character to my advantage. I will select all three features within various media forms; such as my magazine cover, competitions, social networks, posters, and of course my trailer. Having the choice of media forms in today's society has helped producers in their Marketing Campaign which is why i am taking full advantage of each individual form allowing me to link story lines between one another, nevertheless, not leaking to much information and keeping the audience on edge to find out more closer to the time of the release. This technique will keep the viewers intrigued and create more of a hype for the blockbuster weekend. I can use this for my genre which I'm interested in doing - horror. I can use realistic dramatic emotion and use my creative skills to present each of my forms of media. To take full advantage of my media and creating a successful hype and link with each individual form i will work creatively and more fully on the mise-en-scene due to majority of my media forms being visual, i dont want to give away the narrative in a obvious matter, nevertheless, i want to add props and costumes withing backgrounds to link with the story line and get my target audience asking questions, what is the relation between them? its set in a dark forest? etc. I will using photography from my actual trailer to help me with my visual media to set the scene and character which will give a snipit of extra information of the film - however, i will add twists within each form to knock each audience off the wrong route so they're in for a surprise when viewing the actual film. The photography will allow the viewers to understand and know what the genre and narrative is based upon. As well as the Man of Steel Marketing Campaign, i will also be using continuity through out my campaign due to it being an important aspect to the process of making a successful Marketing Campaign, to allow this to happen i will use the same color scheme, props and logo on each media product.
